Tonight, another expedition into the musical world of progressive rock from around the world and from here in Australia, with recent releases from Andy Salvanos, Montresor, The Merlin Bird and Southern Empire. And the Seasons Of Change Birthday Book has birthdays this weekend for bass player Les Holroyd (BJH), guitarist Tom Scholz (Boston) and the late author Douglas Adams, whose enthusiasm for Pink Floyd was manifested in many and varied ways ('Do you realise that robot can hum like Pink Floyd?').

This week, another diverse serving of prog rock and anything else that fits from Australia and overseas, including United Progressive Fraternity and Earth Meet World (aka Projected Twin, Adelaide). The 2017 Adelaide Fringe has a slightly proggy component this year with two different performances of "Tubular Bells" to choose from (Tubular Bells For Two and Tubular Bells - The Original) so tonight is a good time to hear some of that classic album; and Adelaide band Southern Empire has several gigs around Adelaide as part of the 2017 Adelaide Fringe. The Seasons Of Change Birthday Book also has birthdays this weekend for guitarist Andy Powell (mainstay of the classic UK band Wishbone Ash) and talented drummer Pierre van der Linden (from the Dutch prog masters Focus).
