Playlist - 4 August 2018

Tonight's show turns the clock back to the mid 1970's and space-rock sounds from the UK band Hawkwind, followed by the even trippier sounds of Sydney band Sh'Mantra and Adelaide instrumental band Canidae; and there is also another musical selection from the recent album release by Southern Empire. And starting from this week, for the next 20 weeks, at 9pm each Saturday night we'll be hearing a selection of epic (in length and stature) songs from Australian and overseas artists, classic and recent, starting tonight with Side 1 of that classic Jethro Tull album, "Thick As A Brick".

8pm
Hawkwind High rise (live) (1977) (Quark Strangeness And Charm, bonus track on re-issue)
Hawkwind Chronoglide Skyway (1976) (Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music)

Sh’mantra TWs (2001) (Formula Orange)
Canidae John (2014) (Nowhere Else But Here)
